Rainy Day To-Do's

Let me just start off this post my saying, I love rainy days.

I love the sound of rain tapping against the glass of my window, and wrapping myself up in a blanket with a good book and hot chocolate.

As winter is rolling around, I am hoping for some more rainy days, so I can get in the vibe of winter, as it's my favorite season.

So this post is dedicated to my fellow rain lovers, whether you are an indoor person when it comes to rain, or the type of person who faces the rain head on and gets completely soaked, this post is for you!

1. Bust Out Your Favorite Books:

Nobody can deny, that on a rainy day, the most cozy thing a bookworm can do is read. That is why I have specific books set aside for rainy days, and I suggest you do the same.
Think of it as your rainy day kit, with all your favorite literature that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy inside, as you flip through its pages.

2. Comfy Is Key

When I am indoors on a rainy day, there is no doubt in my mind that I will be cozy.
Whip out your warmest, fluffiest, comfiest pillows, blankets and duvets to cozy up in, as you read your book, or listen to your music.

3. Rainy Day Playlist

If you know me, you know there is not very many things I enjoy more than music, and compiling playlists. There are so many different types of playlists on YouTube and Spotify, that I'm sure include rainy day playlists.
If you are more creative, feel free to make your own!
If you want me to make a whole post on playlists with links, I will totally do that!
This playlist is basically all the cozy, cute songs, or just maybe you favorite songs in general, that you can see yourself enjoying on a rainy day.

4. Cozy Up In Front Of The Fire

If you have a fireplace, or a gas fueled fire, (like I do) I highly recommend bringing your books, and blankets and pillows down to wherever it is located.
My couch is right next to out fireplace, which is in the living room, and on rainy days, me and my family sometimes all cluster around it with our cups of Café Con Leche.

7. Rainy Day Walk

If you are up to the adventure, take a warm rain jacket, and bundle up before going on your walk. Be sure to bring a flask of a hot drink (hot chocolate, coffee, tea) and a camera if you like to take pictures.
If you have dogs, it would be fun to take them out, just make sure they don't get too muddy!

8. Rainy Day Disco Nap

Whether its after your walk, or just at random, rainy day naps are always super cozy, especially in front of the fireplace. You won't even have to listen to rain sounds on YouTube at this moment in time, because mother nature is already doing this task for you!

9. Run Wild

If you are up for getting soaking wet, and having a laugh; just run wild. Run around the garden with your friends, family or even your pets.
I love getting soaking wet when it is pouring outside, specifically after going to the park a bit late at night, and taking a hot shower or bath, which leads us to our next thing to do.

10. Warm Baths Are The Best

Whip out your bath bombs, and essential oils ladies! (and gents)
Baths are the BEST when it's cold outside, and there's nothing better than singing in the shower (or bath, in this case)
After your bath, treat yourself. Get all glam, and paint your nails, and re-fill your mug with some fresh hot chocolate!

Those were all of my rainy day to-do's. I hope you enjoyed, and let me know in the comments if you will be doing any of these in rainy days to come! Thanks for reading, and I'll see you (whoever you may be) in my next blog post.
