Venice Beach Break Pt. 1

I'm proud to say that... all of the photos in this post I took! (Well my dad took some of me but...)
They aren't the best quality of photos since they were taken on my phone, (my dad forgot his camera charger!)
But I do really enjoy these photos! LA was so fun, and hopefully if I get my very own camera, you'll be seeing more photography from me in the future! With that being said, let's get on to my Venice Beach Break!

Friday

Car ride aside, our Thanksgiving break had began!
We woke up at five-thirty and we were quick to stuff the trunk of our van with all the necessities.

I shockingly only brought one item of makeup along, which is my Kylie Bronze Palette (a classic!)

Our airbnb was right next to a canal, and a cute Thai restaurant.

We walked down to the beach with the dogs and then walked down the canal (pics above!)

Later that night, we walked down the board walk and a guy sold my dad his reggae CD.

(my outfit that night)

I guess lots of people move to LA to pursue their careers, which is really cool (maybe if this whole blogging thing works out, I'll move to Venice... unlikely).

We went down the boardwalk, and eventually came down to 'Muscle Beach' and I'm gonna just say I saw a lot more of people than I expected, and wanted to...

After the board walk (and googling at many attractive individuals) we had dinner at a place called Simmzy's and I got the 'Simzy Burger', which was SO GOOD.
I'm not a food critique, but it was bomb.

And get this, there's a coffee place called 'The Cows End'. Shook.

We got back to the house and my parents watched James Bond (with Sean Connery!)
Also even just the snippet of the movie I watched was... just... ARE YOU OK 1960's!?

My grandparents arrived at around ten, because their train was delayed the ENTIRE DAY

Saturday

(shot from the pier!)

My day started out with simply getting up, and cuddling with my dogs for a bit.

My mom had left early in the morning to do a Yoga class that stretched throughout the entire day.

Me, my Brother, Dad and Grandparents all walked down to the beach once more, this time walking along the pier.

We didn't stay for long though, as we drove to the mall to buy my brother some new swim shorts.

After this, we headed to a vintage market, and I got some goodies! (Thrifting is the best way to shop!)

(Hanna L.A. Handmade)

This place was so cute! Also, cheers to the lady who sold us the clothes, for bargaining with my dad.

The dogs made lots of friends, and kicked up lots of dirt on people (cheers to the folks who gave me dirty looks due to my dog).
I got this adorable YSL polo that my brother initially wanted to get, but it was too small for him!

I also got this cute Vans cropped sweatshirt. It had a small stain on the sleeve, but I mean it's second hand so...

After thrifting, we headed to this cute little cafe called Kreation Juice and I got the 'Amazon' acai bowl, and an iced mocha.

Best. Lunch. Ever.

After this, my dad went to a surfing lesson on the beach, and my brother and I got to chill at home for a couple more hours before heading out again.

Before heading out, we had dinner (courtesy of my dad).

We wanted to hang out on the boardwalk, but it was completely dead, to out suprise.

After this, we got ice cream at Coldstone, which FILLED ME UP!

Honestly, on these first two days of being in Venice, I've already fallen head over heels in love with all the sights, the clothes, the people I see (wink, wonk). It's such a beautiful city, and even though I've been to Los Angeles before, this part has definitely charmed me, and I still have four more days to go!
