Rainy Day & Gingerbread

Today was a pretty chill, lazy day. It was raining heavily, which I thoroughly enjoyed and we just hung around all day.

My dog, Oliver went out in the rain and was soaked the entire day. Thrift throughout the entirety of the day pretty much, I sat around and watched YouTube and 'Friends' (side note, Friends is being taken off Netflix in 2020!)

Later on in the day I decided that I wanted to do some baking. I whipped out my Mary Berry baking book, and set to work at finding a recipe.

I settled on making gingerbread, and it was pretty simple and delicious.

Here is the link to the book: https://www.amazon.com/Baking-Mary-Berry-Cookies-Pastries/dp/1465453237

I got this book as a Christmas present or a birthday present (I can't remember) a couple years ago.

It's pretty much my holy grail baking book for all the goodies and sweets that I'd like to bake.

My dad went to work shorty afer I put the gingerbread in the oven, and is working late tonight, so he will be last to try my gingerbread (he'll have to fight my mom for the last piece!)

The last time I baked anything (AKA the biscuits from hell) it was delish, but the frosting was a mess and there were a couple breakdowns (US to UK conversions, it's a long story...)

My brother, mom and I all had a piece of the gingerbread during tea time, and we could all agree it was bomb.

It definitely got me in the holiday spirit, so expect some more holiday posts from me in the future! Also, comment if you want more baking posts, because I love baking!
