Top 3 Money Saving Tips
With the New Year coming up comes resolutions, and that's why I've decided to compile a post of my 3 tips on how to save money, which I feel is a common New Year's resolution.
I know it's hard for lots of people, including myself to save money, but hopefully you can come to this post for reminders of how you can save money, and so can I.
1. Budget Yourself
Throughout the week I like to keep a budget. Whether it's $15-$50 or a week to a month I set an amount that I'm going to spend for that time.
It doesn't have to be just a week, it can be a month or even a year. Schedule what you're going to spend and set aside money for necessities, and things that you'd like to have a cheeky splurge on.
It's a good way to save money, but still be able to spend a bit on the side.
2. Make a Reminder
You can set a reminder to your phone that gives you a message of sorts. This message can be whatever you want, just something that tells you how you are going to save your money that day.
There are other ways of reminding yourself not to spend too much money in a day. If your artistic, you may consider painting or drawing and motivational piece that reminds you to save money in any way you choose.
3. Keep A Money Notebook
This tip I have yet to complete; although when I came up with it I was pretty proud.
Set aside a small journal to jot down how much money you've spent and stuff. You can organize it in days, weeks, months and years.
You can write down what you are getting paid at your job per hour, write down cash amounts you have made and spent.
At the end of a month, for instance, you can add up all of the money you made, and subtract what you set aside for expenses and what you've splurged on.
You can also record what exactly you have bought.
I hope you enjoyed my top 3 tips on how to spend money, and let me know what you would like me to write about next.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the shoutout 😇The blog was actually helpful. I usually spend a lot of money on useless stuffs so I have some additional tips for your readers:
ReplyDelete1) Procrastinate.
If you are like me and you procrastinate a lot, put that to a better use. You want to buy that new pair of shoes you really like? Maybe you should buy it tomorrow. Or day after tomorrow. Or.. until you actually need it.
2) Wait for a better product.
You saw that really cool iPhone 11 with 3 cameras at the back? Don't buy it right now. In few months, they will probably release a new phone maybe you can get that one. And when they do release that new phone read this post again.
3) Give money to your mom.
When you give the money you make to your mom, they is no way she is going to let you spend it on stupid stuff. Moms are like Savings account, make good use of it.
