TV Nostalgia
Okay.
After a very disgusting, sick couple of days (IT IS NOT THE CORONAVIRUS) I came to the revelation that the shows us Gen Z's watched as kids are actually legendary. On my several sick days, I got to catch up on many season of iconic shows from my early childhood. For instance, Victorious, iCarly, Sam and Cat, Wizards Of Waverly Place. THE NOSTALGIA WAS REAL.
Besides being a paranoid, vomiting, coughing, sick mess, I managed to (almost) get over my cold my today. I went back to school just today (sarcastic yay) but that hasn't stopped me from continuing to binge my favorite Nickelodeon and Disney TV shows I watched as a little kid. Today I will be listing these shows and telling you why they are so iconic. I hope you can relate to the nostalgic feeling I get when talking about these shows, and comment what your favorite shows were as a kid.
1. Victorious
The jokes, the music, AND JADE WEST! She was my queen, and no matter what anybody may say, she is the queen of the show. Fight me. When re-watching these shows, I realize how many innuendos they managed to sneak in. (For instance when Andre is upset about his grades and asks "How is it possible for someone to go from an A to a D" and Jade says "That happened to me in the 8th grade." ICON). Cat was such a good character, and her whole personality was so funny. It was great and after binging all three seasons (plus the spin-off "Sam and Cat" I low-key got depressed).
2. iCarly
This show is also an iconic one for innuendos (even n the first episode) like when Carly and Sam joked about their teachers "ice cream cone shaped boobs". The show is about three middle school students who have their own web-show called "iCarly" where they can post about anything they want, without any rules or restrictions, like in their school environment. The show follows their day to day lives, and mixes in the fact that they are internet stars. This show is so cute and I loved re-watching it.
3. Wizards Of Waverly Place
Oh. My. God. (Any Friends fans get the reference... never mind). This show... the fact that they are wizards, the parents, the love interests, and ALEX RUSSO for gods sake. I love her. Adolescent Selena Gomez is the reason I breath. She was literally the best character, with the strongest, funniest and not to mention most sarcastic personalty. I LOVED the mom, and to be honest, her brother bothered the heck out of me. He was annoying. I loved to see how Alex's character grew as she got older, and when she got an apartment with Harper. Also, when she broke up with Mason :(
The theme song was a bop, and I miss the show so much. Also I got told once I looked like young Selena Gomez 😳.
This post was a bit short, but I'm hoping as the school year slows down, and Summer break finally comes (almost three months...) I will write even more. I will be posting lots of photography and poetry on my Instagram, and maybe writing a bit more on my Journalism Blog, and this one!
